At Apollo Active, our Youth Detached Sports Programme is powered by a team that truly understands the challenges young people face today. Many of our coaches once stood in the very shoes of the young people they now support, bringing a unique, empathetic perspective that allows them to connect and engage on a deeper level. This shared experience fosters trust, respect, and genuine mentorship.

Our programme operates across parks in Knowsley, using dynamic sports sessions to help prevent anti-social behaviour by providing a constructive, engaging outlet. We focus on physical activity and building essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. Beyond the sports field, we open doors to further opportunities, offering pathways to qualifications and employment through our network and partnerships. 

Some of the young people who engaged with us on this programme have since joined the Apollo Active team, bringing their enthusiasm and experience full circle to inspire others. With state-of-the-art equipment, we ensure a safe, welcoming space well into the evening, promoting a secure environment where young people can thrive and build a brighter future.
